Year 3 Teachers - Miss Begum & Mrs Hammami
Support Staff - Miss Salma & Miss Rushton
Learning at Home
We expect all children to read their reading book at home at least three times a week to support their learning. Children should also access their 'TT Rockstars' for at least 15 minutes three times a week.

Each year group will also have six 'Teach Your Parent' activities per term linked to their wider curriculum learning. These are to enrich your child's wider knowledge and support you with further learning at home and are optional to complete.

Our Visit to the Hanley Museum
Recently, our students had the exciting opportunity to visit the Hanley Museum, where we took part in an engaging Bones Workshop to deepen our understanding of the science topics we’ve been studying. During the workshop, we became junior palaeontologists, examining and identifying a variety of animal bones. This hands-on experience helped us explore how scientists learn about the past through fossils and skeletal remains.
In addition to the workshop, we enjoyed exploring the museum’s fascinating exhibits, which sparked curiosity and inspired further learning. It was a memorable day full of discovery and fun!
Exploring the Stone Age
Our class has been diving into the fascinating world of the Stone Age! To bring our learning to life, we took part in a hands-on workshop where we explored what life was like for Stone Age people. From discovering the tools, they used to understanding how they hunted, gathered and survived, the experience gave us a real sense of how early humans lived. It was an exciting opportunity to connect our classroom learning with practical activities and deepen our understanding of this incredible period in history.
A Magical Trip to the Theatre
We had a wonderful time on our recent trip to the theatre to watch The Little Mermaid. The performance was full of colour, music, and excitement, and our pupils were captivated by the enchanting story brought to life on stage. It was a fantastic opportunity to experience live theatre and deepen our appreciation for the arts.
