This half term, the children of Forest Park have been very excited to welcome the living eggs programme in school. On the 27th September, we were delivered eggs in an incubator. Over the past two weeks, we have watched in anticipation as the eggs started to ‘pip’ and crack.
16 chicks have hatched and we have enjoyed looking after the chicks and watching them grow. All classes have had the chance to observe the chicks and extend our scientific knowledge by learning about their life cycles and some scientific vocabulary. Year 5 have created a fantastic chick diary to document their growing journey.
