PSHE
PSHE Curriculum Aim
PSHE is at the core of all learning. At Forest Park, we believe that, for children to be successful learners they need a variety of skills. These include personal, social and emotional skills and a healthy mind-set to help them achieve both in and out of the classroom.
Through the teaching and learning of PSHE, we aim to provide a safe and supportive learning environment. This will help pupils develop the confidence to ask questions, challenge information they are offered and learn to express their views and opinions. We need to promote emotional health and well-being to help children understand and express their feelings, and build their confidence and emotional resilience and their capacity to learn. As a school, we want to make sure children are aware of their rights and why it is important that children have a voice. Children will be provided with the knowledge, understanding, skills and attitudes to enable them to make informed decisions about their lives.
